Case Study:
Scaling a Beauty Bar Across Two States
Project Overview
The Client
A passionate entrepreneur and a true marketing expert who built a thriving beauty bar empire. Within months, the owner launched a second location, turning both into high-revenue powerhouses. From there, she wanted to capitalize on this success by continuing to expand into additional locations and offering additional services.
The Callenge
Their revenue was climbing [to eight figures!], but the beauty bar’s brilliance in attracting customers masked a hidden challenge: a disconnect between revenue and profitability. Despite impressive sales figures, there was a cash flow bottleneck and revenue wasn't translating into readily available funds, hindering their ability to expand their team and capitalize on their momentum.
Our Role
The beauty bar owner wanted a full audit of her business to uncover where she could save more money and increase profits. We took this a step further by doing a financial x-ray on each location, specifically highlighting the profit per service and per product so that the owner could see exactly where her revenue was coming from.
With our Fractional CFO and Business Consulting expertise, we:
- Audited their profit per service and per product to identify offerings that were negatively impacting profits.
- Established the business burn rate, break even point, and operating expenses to fully understand what profit was needed to survive.
- Tracked product usage, boosted client retention, cross-selling, and streamlined damaged product protocol.
- Created a Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) analysis for services and retail sales.
- Negotiated COGS with suppliers, reducing spend and increasing profits.
- Realigned sales and marketing to prioritize high-margin products and services first.
- Established KPIs for sales by product and service, with bonus incentives for pushing high-profit items.
- Axed low-selling, low-profit services and products to streamline & maximize profitability.
- Created an expansion blueprint with budgeting, forecasting, and a solid organizational structure for multi-location success.

The Flᴉp Effect
Our audit uncovered significant opportunities to unlock profitability and growth for the beauty bar. Here’s how we transformed their bottom line:
Hi, I'm Inbar
Founder & Principal Consultant
Before founding Flᴉp, I spent years inside high-growth companies leading retail, finance, and operations across national brands.
But what shaped me most wasn’t the boardrooms.
It was the time I spent working directly with small business owners: the store managers, franchisees, and founders trying to grow without the right tools or support.
They were running multimillion-dollar operations with no financial visibility, no clear systems, and way too much pressure on their shoulders.
I saw firsthand how often great brands stall, not because they lack vision, but because they outgrow their infrastructure.
That’s why I built Flip: to close the gap between ambition and execution.
Today, I work with businesses that are scaling fast but struggling behind the scenes.
My job is to bring structure, clarity, and calm to the chaos, so leaders can make smart decisions, protect their profit, and scale without burning out.

Let’s fix what’s slowing you down.
We step in as fractional CFOs, COOs, and CSOs for brands that are scaling fast and need real infrastructure to support it. In one conversation, we’ll show you how we work, what we look for, and where we drive results.
